On the 7th of September 2008, Thimphu, the capital city of the remote Himalayan Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan, will host the first ever International Sanction Marathon and Half Marathon. The marathon course will follow the Thimphu Chhu ( Thimphu River ) and head north to the southern boundary of the Jigme Dorji Wangchuck National Park. Running event: Half-Marathon, Marathon. Roll Call For Thai nationals it used to work out cheaper if they paid the Thai entry fee which was 1,800 last year. This year it is 2,000, exactly the same as the HHH discounted entry. So all hashers should simply sign up online on www.thailandmarathon.org/phukettriathlonregist.shtml. Please note that the race entry is filling up fast. There were 84 entries last year at the end of May, this year there are already 360! Are any of the HHH athletes participating in the upcoming Laguna Phuket International Marathon? There is a 5 K Walk and a 10.5 K Run if the half or the marathon are too long. There has been a lot of interest from local clubs and organizations particularly for the 5K and the 10.5K. ON ON to Koh Samui 20th/21st June - THE BIG 300 Friday Night 20th June sees a Classic Night Run "Escape From The Mia Noi Run"; 300A - Part 1 of this Mega KSH3 Weekend. The Hare will be Red Mullet, and he is already on a strict diet of Carrot-Flavoured Fish Food. For those mere mortals amongst us - BRING A TORCH (or Flash Light for you Seppos!) The Location will be somewhere on the North Shore and might involve Bars of ILL-REPUTE. RM (with a little assistance from the GM) is already carrying out the necessary Reccying of these establishments to see if they are able to make the grade! Saturday the 21st will see Piss Bowl laying a Mega-Run in Lamai Gulch (Death valley!)to be folllowed by much Piss Drinking and a Mouth Watering BBQ at the Led Fok Pubic House, Lamai Bitch, courtesy of Blue Lugs.
