The Tinmen was founded by
Alan "Sir Dubai" Cooke in 1990 and first ran on 21 May
of that year. Runs take place on the first Wednesday of
the month, with one extra run on the Wednesday nearest
the Tinmen anniversary. The Tinmen is strictly men
only and the runs are meant to be slightly taxing.
However, there are two legs and the elderly and infirm
have the opportunity to get on the bus for one or other
of the legs. No such dispensation is available at the
two circles which attract amateur comedians from around
the island and elsewhere. Pack sizes rage from 20-30. Run fees are 600 Baht which includes the bus, snacks and the meal at local restaurants. The
Iron
Pussy runs on the second Wednesday of every month and a
fine mixture of Thais and expats often results in mayhem
of a drunken nature. It is strictly women only, no men and
no kids. There is a bus which picks up from Baan Rim Klong
in Kamala, the Expat Hotel in Patong and the Little Expat
in Kathu. Check the hareline for times. Run
fees are 400 Baht which includes bus and food. The
run starts at 4pm, the bus normally starts its return
journey at 9pm. The Iron Pussy's first run was in 2003 and was organised by Mud Pie and Fishballs. Thank-you girls you started something really special. The Pooying Hash meets on the middle
Sunday of each month. The Pooying (Thai for women) Hash
is a family Hash. Registration and food combined is
currently 300 baht for adults and 20 baht for children.
There is no bus service so make your own arrangements to
get there. Onsite registration normally starts at

The
Koma is a mixed hash that meets on the last Tuesday of the
month. The runs and onon's are popular because of the
relaxed and informal approach. Run fees, currently 700
baht, are all inclusive of bus, food and beer/softies AND
you get a chair to sit on at the Circle. Registration is
normally at Ban Rim Klong in Kamala. Check the

Phuket Marauders Hash GM: Scud

About:
The Maraud is for experienced male hashers who have been
vetted by a Marauder and who are deemed to be devious
enough to take part. The Phuket Marauders meet when the
GM decides, normally 3 - 4 times a year. At other times,
they may be found lurking in the shadows of Faulty
Towers Inn spending their ill gotten gains from earlier
Marauds.
Numbers: Limited to 30 max
so if you want to be there confirm your booking with GM
Scud at New
Faulty Towers.
Virgins: This event is not
open to hangers on or day trippers. Anyone who is not of
Tinmen standard and a regular Hasher will not be
allowed. The GM has the final decision on any proposed
Virgins. A Virgin must be sponsored and looked after by
an existing member.
Misdirections:
Probably something along these lines. Registration at
the Expat Hotel coffee shop at 1300. The bus will leave
the Expat Hotel at 1400 SHARP, not 1405. I repeat THE
BUS LEAVES AT 1400. Panicky phone calls from Marauders
who cannot tell the time, will not be accepted!

The
Phuket Inebriated Southern Hash has a long history of
drinking and falling over, but the act of putting one
foot in front of the other in any coherent fashion has
always been somewhat of a challenge. PISH meets at the New Fautly Towers whenever the Phuket Hash is running North of Thalang. Hare is the first one to the bar. GM is anyone still capable of standing. |
